Fina Grejer

I finally got the opportunity to photograph my first real project in school. The assignment was to  create a wall mounted steel wire product, for the swedish company Maze Int. The result is a bicycle hanger that allows you to safely store your precious bike, along with a helmet and lock. My approach was to create something with simple aesthetics and a functional form which enables you to use it with different types of bikes, taking cable routing and geometry into account.

The form draws inspiration from pursuit handlebars, and to further establish a visual connection with the bike, I decided to wrap the parts where the hanger touches the bike and wall with white cloth handlebar tape. I do have plans on rewrapping it with leather for a more exclusive look.
